The hotel's decoration is absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail in the furnishings and artwork creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The common areas are spacious and well-designed, making it easy for senior people like myself to navigate and relax. I particularly enjoyed spending time on the terrace, where I could sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
The only thing I would ask for a better vacation for senior people is if the children working there could be a bit more attentive. While they were generally friendly, I found that they sometimes forgot to check in on me or provide assistance when I needed it.

I absolutely adored the charming ambiance of Kumbukgaha Villa. The decor was tasteful and showcased a blend of traditional and modern elements. The common areas were beautifully designed, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. As a senior woman, I found the villa to be easily accessible, with well-maintained paths and convenient facilities. It was a delight to explore the grounds and take in the scenic beauty.
Just a small suggestion for an even better vacation experience for senior people: I would have appreciated additional handrails or grab bars in certain areas to provide extra support and stability. This would have been especially helpful for us seniors when navigating the outdoor spaces and bathrooms.

The hotel is perfectly located away from the main roads, giving it a peaceful and secluded vibe. Driving down the dusty gravel road, you suddenly come across a beautiful structure nestled in the jungle. the hotel's landscaping includes vegetable patches that are harvested for your own use, which adds a nice touch to the stay. the staff and manager were extremely courteous and helpful, making sure all our requests were met. the rooms were spacious and luxurious, with a rustic yet elegant outdoor shower that was a unique and enjoyable experience. the dining experience at the restaurant was amazing, with great views of the jungle and delicious food.
There were a few issues that detracted from an otherwise perfect stay. the shower in our room had poor water pressure, making it difficult to have a satisfying shower.

We got great value for our money at Kumbukgaha Villa. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a touch of homeliness. The remote location was perfect for exploring attractions like Lion's Rock and going on a safari. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, especially in arranging taxi and tuktuk services.
The breakfast could use a little improvement by offering more options for a Sri Lankan style breakfast.

Our stay at Kumbukgaha Villa was a unique experience. The rustic setting and beautiful villas blended perfectly with the natural surroundings. We loved the outdoor shower and bathroom, it was like showering under the stars. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure all our needs were met. The food was delicious, especially the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine prepared by the in-house staff. The location was serene and tranquil, perfect for a quiet getaway. We even had the pleasure of witnessing the cries of peacocks in the morning. Despite a few minor drawbacks, like weak wifi in the room and the absence of a tea pot, we highly recommend Kumbukgaha Villa for an lovely stay in Sri Lanka. we would definitely recommend this place for a unique and peaceful experience.
